The workshop at Anderson Ranch inspired me. At one point in particular, Josh Davis showed us how to control processing with a MIDI controller. I thought if I could use a MIDI, why not the drum machine I had laying around my house collecting dust. Though it wasn’t quite the same technique, I did find that the Minim library served my purpose perfectly. I first created a bucket of beats and saved them onto my SB-246. It also works just messing around making beats real-time, but this was easier for me to play with the code while having a beat going on. Next step was to create a handful of graphics I can have the code pull from. Then I hooked it all into my processing code and played with some different effects.
